Nutrition is fundamental to naturopathy: what we eat and how we eat becomes who we are!
A naturopathic treatment plan always has nutrition at its core. We will always cover your daily diet in detail in our initial consultation. With these details we can assess whether you are getting adequate nutrients for your health, or whether what you are eating contributes to your symptoms. We make some simple suggestions to help you on the road to the best nutrition for you.
Not all diets/eating style suit everyone. We are unique, as are our bodies. There are approaches more specific for healing inflammation, balancing hormones, losing weight, and more.
My fundamental belief is that our body works best on organic, free range, herbicide free foods. We need to keep packaged and processed foods to a minimum. Sugar is best avoided! Meals based around whole foods with at least 5 serves of vegetables and 2 serves of fruit a day are going to give our body the vitamins and minerals it needs to function.
